What We Collect

We collect personal information only where necessary to provide our services. This includes:

Account data: name, email address, and password (hashed)
Billing data: payment method details (processed securely via third-party providers)

User content: files, data, and information you upload to the platform
Support data: communications you send us via support channels

Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

Service providers: third parties who process data on our behalf (e.g. cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics) under strict data processing agreements
Legal authorities: where required by South African law or a valid court order
Business transfers: in the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may transfer as a business asset
04 / RETENTION

How Long We Keep It

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription, plus 30 days after cancellation to allow for data export. Anonymised usage analytics may be retained indefinitely.

How We Protect It

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), access controls, and regular security audits. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the Information Regulator in accordance with POPIA Section 22 within 72 hours.

Your POPIA Rights

Under POPIA, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
Deletion: request deletion of your personal information where no longer necessary
Objection: object to processing of your information for direct marketing
Complaint: lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforeg.org.za)

07 / TRANSFERS

Cross-Border Transfers

Where your personal information is transferred outside South Africa (e.g. to cloud infrastructure providers), we ensure that the receiving country or organisation provides an adequate level of protection, or we implement contractual safeguards as required by POPIA Section 72.
